The Community Kindness Movement is excited about producing a NEW LOCALLY FILMED KINDNESS VIDEO in Meridian, Idaho. Our Kindness Video is shown at school assemblies, motivational speaking presentations, and fundraising events for our Kindness Begins with Me Bullying Prevention Program.
EVERY CHILD IS WELCOME. We need kids from ages K-12th grade. All abilities and disabilities. Please make sure they are comfortable in being filmed. If your child does have special needs, we ask that you come with them.
The CKM is pleased to partner with Kody Newton, of GadgetGents in producing the video and for Idaho Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Christopher Loveland DDS and Idaho Central Credit Union for providing the funds.
To get a better idea of what we are doing, you can view our 2015 Kindness Video produced by Cade Sutton here: https://youtu.be/OeunYgwvx1I.
By having local kids star in a Kindness Video, it is a way in empowering our kids to be “World Changers”; whether it be in their own friendship circles, classrooms, schools, online, and out in their community. May we each strive to be Models of Kindness.

SAY “I LOVE YOU” SUNDAY
Show your love (your heart, your kindness, your vulnerability, your soul-shine) because it feels good. Give because the giving is what you get. In fact, if you have a hard time with self-love, start outside yourself and work your way in. Showing love to others can be a gateway for loving yourself.
Melissa Nelson here, I would like to leave all of you with a quote from the article that influenced our family at a time when kindness needed to be the answer, The Virtues of Kindness, in hopes that kindness continues to bless you in your life throughout this year and years to come.
“Kindness is how a Christlike person treats others.
Kindness is the essence of greatness and the fundamental characteristic of the noblest men and women I have known. Kindness is a passport that opens doors and fashions friends. It softens hearts and molds relationships that can last lifetimes. Kind words not only lift our spirits in the moment they are given, but they can linger with us over the years.
May we be models of kindness. May we ever live up to the words of the Savior: “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.”

What an awesome Thank You Thursday!
Thank You Thursday
Thing is, people aren’t hardwired to be grateful. And, like any skill worth having, gratitude requires practice…. Gratitude makes us happier. Gratitude strengthens relationships, improves health, reduces stress, and, in general, and makes us happier. All these benefits sound like the Science of Kindness that we teach at the assemblies.
The CKM is full of GRATITUDE this week! We have received news of a generous local sponsorship donation that will fully fund our New Kindness Video. Also we will received news on Tuesday and Wednesday that we are being awarded not just one, but TWO GRANTS. It’s been very moving and appreciated. We will make sure the every dollar is well spent in empowering kids. The CKM will make announcements with what is to come in the coming months. THANK YOU!
Happy WOW Wednesday
“WOW” someone today with a simple act of kindness!
You’ve seen it on the bus, when someone offers his or her seat to an elderly person: The generous person feels noble, the elderly person beams with gratitude, and even spectators feel like cheering inside just from having witnessed a simple act of kindness.
HAPPY KINDNESS WEEK EVERYONE!
