CKM ANNOUNCEMENT:
The CKM has seen the demand for a New Classroom Concept rollout to help make our Kindness Begins with Me Program more accessible to many other classrooms around the State of Idaho. We conceive that our NEW Classroom Concept will allow more teachers and parents to be able to support a Kindness Program for their own students and kids.
In the last couple of years, we have had AWESOME teachers whom have shared the vision in implementing our program and took it upon themselves to gather business and parent sponsors to fund their classrooms with Kindness T-Shirts. We would like to encourage more of this concept and know that it will help bring more of a personal investment and bring added awareness to the cause. We realize that funding entire schools takes ALOT of funding and grants and greatly appreciated the PTA and PTOs that continue to do this. The CKM will still will highly encourage and support full funding of entire schools. Through this experience the CKM has seen how amazing teachers implement our Kindness/Bullying Prevention program in their own classrooms and we THANK YOU!
When the CKM receives funds from fundraising events, business sponsors, or grants, we will open the eligibility for teachers to apply. We are excited about this NEW CLASSROOM CONCEPT and hope parents will be excited too! Parents, now is your chance to have the Kindness Program for your kids in their own classrooms!
HOW TO GET STARTED IN 8 EASY STEPS:
- Contact your child’s teacher and introduce the CKM Program. COMING SOON – Parent/Teacher Flyer to give out with all the information.
- We will include or make accessible (1) Kindness Begins with Me Planning Booklet in your teacher order.
- We ask that they support a Kindness Week for their students. The entire week curriculum is planned or they can join in their own school’s planned Kindness Week.
- Have your teacher remind their students and encourage parents through the teacher newsletter, to wear the Kindness shirt each Thursday to build the habit of wearing them, especially every third (3rd) Thursday for Kindness Day. The Kindness t-shirts are the most valuable visual learning tool, they bring a constant remembrance.
- Each month has a Kindness Theme and a monthly Kindness celebrated every third (3rd) Thursday. They can use our booklet to plan a 15 minute Kindness Lesson for this day. The CKM Booklet has suggested classroom activities, media, and books to read. The program is all planned for them to implement. Your teachers can also choose to do a 5-10 minute Kindness lesson each Thursday if they want to do that too. The program is what you make of it.
- Have them fill out the Kindness T-Shirt Order Forms attached and collect them.
- Go to our website at www.CommunityKindnessMovement.com and click on the ORDER TAB. Fill out their classroom order.
- Add your email and your teacher’s email in our notes section to be added to be added to our CKM Newsletter and for correspondence.
- Double check contact information, class order, then pay, and submit. It’s that easy!
- We will include (1) Kindness Begins with Me Planning Booklet in your order for your teacher.
- Enjoy an AWESOME Program for your kid’s classroom and THANK YOU for your generous ACT OF KINDNESS!

KINDNESS T-SHIRT DESIGN ANNOUNCEMENT:
Due to an abundant amount of shares and votes, we received 1,000 votes our voting app allotted us, and so we had to end the contest early. The CKM Executives have deliberated. Our Non-Profit Organization was founded on the fundamentals of Kindness and we continue to strive to keep that attribute at the center of all our decision-making.
The CKM would like to announce that the TWO FINALISTS will both be the WINNERS of our 2017-18 Kindness T-Shirt Design Contest. We will be combining elements from each design with a Graphic Designer to come up with our official CKM 2017-18 Design. We will share the design on our May 18th Kindness Day.
We greatly appreciate the HUGE response we received for the contest! Support from the community is important.
Please keep in mind that this was our first year conducting the design contest and know that it was a learning process. We continue to strive to make the CKM better for everyone and to promote more community involvement.
Since we are a Non-Profit, please take into consideration all of our hours of hard work and talents that are given freely by individuals who believe in advocating for the cause and to bring more awareness to our schools and communities to empower ALL of our kids. In the end of all this, it’s all about the well-being of children. Please consider joining in with us and getting involved.
A BIG THANK YOU to all that entered our contest. All the participants did an excellent job. We appreciate your willingness to step up a be a “World Changer”!

HAVE A WONDERFUL KINDNESS DAY!
Go out and enjoy the BEAUTY of the EARTH!
April Kindness Day is Thursday, April 20th, 2017
April Kindness Theme: Be Kind to Yourself, Be Kind to Others, Be Kind to the Earth!
March taught gratitude. April continues to spring forth Attitude of Gratitude towards ourselves, others, and our beautiful communities throughout the State of Idaho.
The first Earth Day was held on, April 22, 1970, and today it is celebrated in over 193 countries each year. Earth Day is on Saturday, April 22nd, 2017. April is a perfect month to teach our children the importance in conserving and beautifying our communities in which we live in.
Does your school currently have a recycling or conserving program that your students can contribute to strengthening this month? If so, perfect! If not, we highly recommend coming up with one that will help teach students the importance in giving back to the environment.
There are MANY great EARTH DAY VIDEO available on Youtube. We suggest finding one that is age appropriate for your classroom. We recommend showing them a video and introducing the Kindness Day Theme the first 10 minutes of class on Kindness Day. We highly recommend coming up with a CONSERVING CHALLENGE for the day or a plan for your classroom to conserve for the entire month of April.
Your School Librarian and/or Teachers can choose to read books during story time that relate to “Being Kind to the Earth”.
